The International Fair for Investment Projects REXPO gathering a number of domestic and foreign investors was held in Zagreb for the sixth time. Some of them have already realised some projects but others came to gather information on investment possibilities in both Croatia and the region. In addition to investors, the fair is also visited by the private sector as well as state and local administration representatives exploring investment opportunities in various projects.

After having contributed as panellists during previous fairs, this year we accepted the invitation to visit Rexpo as guests since this manifestation has proved to be an important event in the annual calendar of business and investment fairs in the region.

During the first day, most of the panels were focused on public and infrastructural investment projects in addition to the subjects related to a new wave of foreign investors in the region and the development and impact of regional airports on the local economy.

The panel entitled “New wave of foreign investors in the region” hosted Wael Al-Lawati, Senior Vice President of the company DAMAC International, the leading investor in luxury real estate from the Middle East, which expressed interest for investment in Croatia.

The second day was dedicated to investments in tourism and the opening panel was entitled „Promoting energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources in tourism”. Other panels focused on potentials and projects for development of luxury tourism in the Alps-Adria region, investment in luxury residences, glamping and the most recent hotel projects. One of the speakers was also Simone Michelli, one of the most renown names in the field of architectural design in Europe.

The organisers proved once again that REXPO is an excellent meeting point for new investment opportunities.
