Andrej Šooš Maceljski, a partner in our law firm, attended the Annual Assembly of the members of the international organisation Cicero League of International Lawyers which took place from 19 to 21 May 2016, representing our firm and the Republic of Croatia.
The members of Cicero regularly meet twice a year at annual assemblies to share their experience and ideas with fellow attorneys from around the world. The meeting was held in New York, the financial and commercial centre of the USA, and was organised by the law firm Dunnington, Bartholomew & Miller, also a member of Cicero.
The hosts organised seminars and the traditional Annual Assembly while the optional programme included gatherings and discovery of magnificent New York. It was a great opportunity to experience a glorious view of Manhattan from Brooklyn over the East River. The next day, we experienced sailing in New York harbour and we visited the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
As many jazz legends were born in New York, the three-day meeting ended with a concert given by Arturo O’Farrill, a two-time Grammy Award winner.
The next meeting of Cicero members will be held in the Spanish capital Madrid in November 2016.
